  • Other Upcoming Meets and Special Events

Stroke School Meet: We will have our last Stroke School Meet of the Short Course season on Friday, March 12th at Blacksburg Aquatic Center. An Online Meet Signup has been added under the Stroke School Page and the signup deadline is this Friday, March 5th. This will be a fun meet with the swimmers divided into teams and the meet scored to determine a team winner.

A/BB Champs was a great meet this past weekend with many swimmers achieving Senior and Age Group Champs qualifying times. Congratulations to all swimmers that participated in the meet. Results will be posted under the meets page as soon as they are available (hopefully Monday evening)!

The meet invitation for Age Group Champs has been posted under the meets page. Please complete an online signup form for this meet if you intend to participate. Also, the deadline for taking advantage of the group rate for Age Group Championships in Manassas is this Wednesday, March 3rd. Use the hotel information listed under the "Meets" page of our website to reserve a room from our block if you are attending.

    Additional Information

Check out pictures that Caisy Ho, our Live Action Swim photographer, has taken at swim meets over the past few weekends. The gallery is available at his website, but it is password protected. The password is located in the email sent out each week announcing the weekly newsletter availability, or ask a coach or parent at practice. Click to see Meet Photos and for Information on Ordering. Caisy is available at most swim meets to photograph your swimmer, and when you use his services, about $5 goes to support the H2okie swim team.

Virginia Tech Swim Camp registration has opened for their stroke camp, held June 20-24, and their sprint camp, held July 18-21. Both camps will be held at War Memorial. Virginia Tech Swimming and Diving is a huge supporter of H2okie Aquatics and one of our Team Sponsors. We encourage our swimmers to attend either Virginia Tech swim camp if they are interested. It is a lot of fun for the kids! Reserve your spot now.

SCRIP order deadlines for this month are Wednesday, March 3rd, March 17th, and March 31st. SCRIP cards make a great Easter treat for kids and parents alike. In order to meet the $7.50 processing fee, we must have meet a certain minimum order. If that minimum order is not met, it will be held until the next order date. Please call or email Brenda Whitesell with any questions. Click here for more information about SCRIPS.
