Additional Information
Check out pictures that Caisy Ho, our Live Action Swim photographer, took at the Gator Meet this past weekend. The gallery is available at his website, but it is password protected. The password is located in the email sent out each week announcing the weekly newsletter availability, or ask a coach or parent at practice. Click to see Gator Meet Photos and for Information on Ordering. Caisy is available at most swim meets to photograph your swimmer, and when you use his services, about $5 goes to the team.
Virginia Tech Swim Camp registration has opened for their stroke camp, held June 20-24, and their sprint camp, held July 18-21. Both camps will be held at War Memorial. Virginia Tech Swimming and Diving is a huge supporter of H2okie Aquaitcs and one of our Team Sponsors. We encourage our swimmers to attend either Virginia Tech swim camp if they are interested. It is a lot of fun for the kids! Reserve your spot now.

Question of the Week
Question of the Week (Submitted By: Anonymous User): All this championship meet stuff is so confusing! The Championship Meet Eligibility Page is a mile long and whoever does that website stuff is straight crazy if he thinks I am going to read all that. Can I just sign up my child for all the meets and let the coaches decide what is best?
Yes and No. The decision to travel to and participate in a swim meet is an important decision that you should fully consider before you decide whether to sign up for a meet or not. If you sign up for a meet and the coaches enter your child in the meet, you are responsible for any entry fees associated with that meet, even if you later decide not to go. While the coaches can recommend which meets your child should attend, if we were left to decide which meets to enter swimmers in, we may end up entering your child in a meet that you were not expecting to go to.
Second, although the information is long, understanding qualifying procedures for swim meets is a very important part of being a knowledgable swim parent and helping your swimmer achieve success. So there may not be an absolute necessity to learn the information, but it will help you understand our sport better.
