Michele Sudweeks

I have been involved with swimming for over 20 years, beginning with age group swimming in my early teens. A few years later, I began teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and continued teaching for many years, both privately and through local Red Cross programs. Later, I worked as the head coach of the local summer swim team.

I attended college in Utah at Brigham Young University, where I swam for a short time earning a degree in Math Education with a minor in Physical Education/Coaching. During that time I coached two high school swim teams and continued teaching swim lessons until my first child, Brooke was born. Erin and Isaac, my twins, came shortly after, followed by my youngest child, Zac. I spent hours sitting at pools watching my kids enjoy the water. As soon as my children were old enough, I began teaching them and their friends the basics of swimming. When my three oldest children began swimming with H2okie Aquatics, I found that I missed coaching and began coaching Level 1 swimmers in September 2007.

I love coaching beginning swimmers. I love watching children develop an appreciation for the sport. I feel that swimming is a truly rewarding sport and I love the opportunity to introduce it to many new swimmers.
